Welcome to Edgeley
In 1923 Edgeley was described as "a superior class of house ..." and "one of the finest of the old homes round about Dunedin". With outstanding ocean views from both of the guest bedrooms and the guest lounge, we invite you to stay at our home in the peaceful and tranquil area of Anderson's Bay, Dunedin, "the Gateway to the Peninsula".
Originally built in the 1860's Edgeley or "Fairy Knowe" as it was named then, has undergone many changes over the years. Originally a farmstead it was then enlarged to become a private gentleman's residence, followed by yet another name change to "Wesley Manor" a rest home for retired gentlemen.
It is now home to the Parker family and "Penny" our very friendly dog, and we offer a warm welcome to those who wish to stay with us.
We offer a superior class of accommodation in peaceful surroundings, which have either an ensuite or a private bathroom. Listen to the bellbirds and the sound of the Pacific Ocean whilst you enjoy a sumptuous home-cooked breakfast in the Guests' Lounge. We have a maximum of five guests at any one time, so you can be assured that service and our guests' comfort is our top priority.
Located in Anderson's Bay, we are 30 minutes from Dunedin Airport, 15 minutes drive from Larnach Castle, the city centre and the Octagon and only 7 minutes from the Edgar Event Center, which makes us the ideal place to stay when visiting Dunedin.
